It's hard to beat World Tour performance at a price that doesn't necessitate taking out a second mortgage and that's where the Venge Expert Disc lands. It features many of the same qualities as its wicked-fast siblings like a Rider-First Engineeredâ„¢ frame and incredible stopping power with disc brakes just with a "traditional" cockpit.
In our Win Tunnel every tube trailing edge and design cue was made for speed. It's also Rider-First Engineeredâ„¢ to ensure that every frame size experiences uniform performance. Front-end stiffness meanwhile was increased by 30% over the Tarmac SL5.
For this iteration of the Venge however we spec'd it with a traditional stem and our S-Works Aerofly handlebars. And while there is a slight loss in aerodynamics with this configuration it makes set-up and changes to the overall fit far easier than with the ViAS system. Of course this disc version of the Venge also changes the game with undeniable stopping power without any penalty to the aerodynamic profile so you get powerful hydraulic disc braking without any sacrifices.
Then there's Shimano Ultegra groupset that delivers reliable performance and the Roval SLX 24 rims that are laced to DT Swiss 350 hubs. They're light enough to race on yet durable enough for everyday training. So when it comes to speed at value nothing outperforms the Venge Expert Disc.
